Student Summer Innovative Plant & Technology Experiences

Five days on the Texas A&M University College Station campus, especially for Texas students grades 9-11.

Students, particularly from historically underrepresented groups, across rural and urban areas of Texas were invited to apply.  Students received a travel subsidy and accommodation in TAMU dorms.  Funding support from the Innovative Technology Experiences for Students and Teachers (ITEST) program at the National Science Foundation.

Students were introduced to diverse career pathways and learn some of the technologies and tools used in modern plant science.
